How It Works

From block to payout

Mine a block

Find a CubeHash-256 hash that meets the current difficulty target. Earn 1 lootcoin upon block acceptance — regardless of whether the block contains transactions. Half of all transaction fees in your block are paid to you immediately.

Include transactions to earn a lottery ticket

If your block includes at least one transaction, the node issues a loot ticket tied to your miner address and the block height. Payout is a flat fraction of the pot — the same whether your block has 1 transaction or 240.

Wait for the reveal window

Your ticket settles at block H+100, using the hashes of all 100 blocks from H to H+99 as randomness. The 100-block window is both the maturity delay and the entropy source — an attacker would need to control all 100 consecutive blocks to influence the outcome.

Payout lands in your wallet

One of 1,000,000 outcome buckets is drawn and results in one of four payout tiers — small wins are common, jackpots are rare. Every payout is a fraction of the current pot so the lottery never fully drains.
